LOOKS GREAT IMPRACTICAL
Well they looked good and had a wide scope of vision but once it turned cold they started fogging up with my breath so much so that I couldn't see out of them and they then spent most on the time in my cycling jacket pocket. They may be OK in the summer time when it's warmer but in the Autumn and winter they'r more of a hazard. Avoid.

First class fantasy
Sick of all those dragons and elves? Bored with magic swords and prophecies? If so, read this book; It's blood and guts,treachery and treason, battles and torture but funny with it. Great characters, a basic plot but so very well written, and this is only the first of a trilogy; I read the rest in about a month and bought his other books which I'm going through now;"The heroes" and "Best served cold" They're set int he same world but can be read separately. It's quite difficult to get a good book out of all the rubbish that's in the fantasy genre but this is like a breath of fresh air. If you like George R R Martin-but without the dragons-you're going to LOVE this! I can't recommend it highly enough, just buy it; You won't be dissapointed. Martin Gallagher.

SAVOUR THIS; SLOW BUT BRILLIANT.
It's so difficult to discover a great science fantasy book, but when you do and I did with "Acacia", it's terrific!. Be advised; it's slow, but it's so well written you'll savour it. A little too much description of things that aren't really necessary but that's a minor quibble against a backdrop of great world building, interesting characters and a good plot. The four main characters are children brought up in a world of royalty and riches and they are, for want of a better phrase, spoiled brats, so you can't wait until everything goes horribly wrong and they are cast out into the real world. This is where I'm at now and the book is getting better and better, so much so that I've bought the next two books of the trilogy. A cracking book!
