Not perfect but good enough
My beloved MP970 printer went south and I was not ready to give it up yet. It started printing green bands in black text and only printing 50% of Magenta (See bad original pic attached). I tried cleaning the printhead which did nothing so I saw this replacement and decided to give it a try. It was a gamble not knowing if it was the printhead or the printer (the ink carts were new). The replacement just arrived and I popped it in. I was happy to see that it fixed my original problem but it was not perfect. In the nozzle check pattern, I can see a very faint band in the center of the photo black pattern (See replacement pic attached -- the scan makes it seem faint but it's more visible on paper).
I do not print many pictures any more and I am perfectly content to live with it as long as most of my black and color text documents remain unaffected. So I'll knock one star off as it's not perfect but most likely good enough. I am very happy to have my MP970 back online.
