Great product and value if used for the proper balding scenarios.
2 of 2 found this helpful The pros is that this is actually a very good product, that if used properly, can make your hair look much fuller. But notice what I said there...make your hair (that you have) look much fuller. I have a receding hairline and some very thin areas mostly on the sides of my head. Not to the point of completely gone, but enough that after a fresh haircut, the thinning areas are much more pronounced and easily spotted.
Using TOPPIK for this (filling in thinner areas) works great and I can't even tell the difference between my hair and the fibers, even with close examination in the mirror. I asked my girlfriend if she noticed where I sprinkled the fibers on my head, and she also could not tell or spot the areas I filled in.
Now I can't speak for using this product on a bald part of my head and how well it works there because I am only dealing with thinning areas and don't have any bald spots on the crown of my head or other areas. My guess is that if you have the beginnings of crown balding, this product will 100% help you cover where the hair is thinning, but once the hair is completely gone, it will be noticeable if you use the product exclusively as new hair instead of adding to what hair is left.
I know this because sometimes when sprinkling fibers on the side of my head, the fibers cling to the skin near my temple and create a pretty obvious and mossy looking spot on my face. I use a Kleenex to wipe any extra from my skin so this isn't visible after application.
If you are experiencing areas of complete baldness, my recommendation is using Minoxidil 5% foam or dropper twice a day on the balding areas to bring back new growth, and once you have some new growth, then use TOPPIK to fill in the rest for a much fuller look and I guarantee you will be satisfied with the product.
Again, DO NOT expect this product to create a new hairline for you or make up for the completely balded crown you may have. Use this product for thinning areas with your correct hair color and no one will be able to tell the difference, even yourself. (I will try to add before and after photos to my review at a later time, if possible.)
