multiple uses
I have three of these units and they work together very well. it is a great way to extend ethernet over coax cables. They are essentially plug and play.
One is hooked up between my router and the splitter. This provides internet to my two directv recievers. I have a second one in a room with my PC, with the other end connected to the splitter. This allows me to have a centrally located wifi router and use existing coax cables. The 3rd one is actually connected off the same coax to my dvr so I can have a 2nd wifi router in a different location. I found that I needed to use a splitter, even when I was going direct from DECA to DECA unit, For example, from PC- DECA- Coax- Splitter- Coax- DECA- Router...
One thing to remember is you can do this with DECA on the same wires as long as you do not have cable TV, just satellite tv (or nothing)
