Good reducer, bad damper
This transition damper is a good transition but a poor damper. When it arrived the damper leaves, axle and spring had fallen out and were rattling around in the box. It required reassembly. Then i discovered there was a 3/8” gap around the outside of the damper. I fashioned a seal from rope and epoxied it in place. It now seals adaquately and operates well. Many users won’t want this inconvenience.

The lens is a great value and I would highly recommend it to others.
3 of 3 found this helpful I bought this lens to use for studio shots of small insects. This lens was intended for use as an enlarger lens. For my purposes I reverse it and mount it on my Digital camera.
The mounting threads for normal and reversed mounting are well described on the web so I was able to purchase the proper adapters even before I had the lens in hand. It worked very well on my studio subjects and I am pleased with the resolution. My understanding is that if I were willing to spend several times as much money, I could purchase a similar lens that was a tiny bit sharper in the corners. I am quite content with the value of this lens and don't plan to purchase a replacement. This lens is available at this relatively low price because the transition from processing prints in darkrooms with enlargers is disappearing and it has created a suprlus of this excellent lens.

Small step angle stepper motor
The motors arrived and are new and in great shape. I will be building it into an actuator for manipulation of a tiny insect in a photo stacking application. I anticipate that it will work very well.
The connector on the motor is JST-ZH-1.5MM pitch-4-Pin
