A Nice Feature-packed Entry-level Bridge Camera
This a great entry-level camera for the beginner photographer. It has the look and feel of a compact DSLR. The LCD is clear and rotates about two axes. It has an 4.6–110.4mm NIKKOR lens (f/2.8–f/5.0) with an impressive 24x times optical zoom which is really useful and provides flexibility. It has the usual P/S/A/M modes, as well as SCENE and Auto modes. The CCD sensor is 1/2.33" (crop factor 5.7) which is pretty small, but if you're just uploading to Insta then this is acceptable. With a bit of work you can get decent bokeh. I find noise creeping in at ISO above 800.
I've not used it for video so can't comment on this.
My only gripe is that the max shutter time is 8 seconds, so not great for long exposures/astrophotography.
All-in-all excellent value for someone looking to try photography away from Auto mode.
