Charnwood flexible worklight
We bought one of these several years ago, since when it has proved invaluable in illuminating a drilling platform enough to save our pensioner’s eyes from making errors. More recently we bought one to illuminate the cutting point on a lathe, and by way of a finale, we have one to illuminate fine bench work. All are attached to steel plates screwed to the wall. All adjust easily and provide an even light. Buying three says a lot about how well they work for us.

Convenient and quiet
Like other Makita tools it’s nice to own, and of course cordless is convenient, it’s quiet too. But it’s noticeably heavier than our mains powered grinder and bulkier too. So it’ll probably be left aside when using a corded grinder is convenient. It’s not all gain.
