The legend lives on!
1 of 1 found this helpful The Spanninga Axendo 60 proves that it is hard to kill a good design. While searching for a dynamo headlight to use on my long randonneuring events, I came across many models and brands with good reviews. However, there was one light which seemed to be a benchmark for bicycle lights - Philips SafeRide. From beam pattern to light quality, the Philips SafeRide ranks at the top of all bicycle lights. So what does that have to do with the Spanninga Axendo 60? Well, the Philips SafeRide was discontinued in 2014, leaving cyclists with no option but to search for old stock or used models. That is until Spanninga acquired the rights to Philips' bicycle light technology. Spanninga's Axendo line of lights are updated reproductions of the SafeRide, preserving the famous beam pattern and adding some updated features like a daytime running light. I've used this light for about 600 miles of riding and compared to the lights of other riders around me, this light has always been the best of the bunch. The Axendo 60 represents outstanding value among bicycle lights. You can't go wrong choosing this light.
