Does the job for me

If you are a person that lives in the ruff and tumble physical world using phone calls, texts, with the occasional need for online access, and you're not tethered to technology to get through your day, then this phone should serve your needs. There is no question it will handle mishaps and abuse, I dropped mine in a cup of coffee this morning. But if you need to email, twitter, facebook, and surf the internet all day long, then you should look at something more suited to efficiently do those activities, with a longer battery life. The only downside for me is that it really needs a charging dock / cradle, which does not seem to be available for the 811. I'll probably fabricate something.

Charging port issues

The Galaxy s4 is essentially defective from the manufacturer. Just google "samsung s4 charging port" and you will find multitudes of users with issues regarding the inferior charging port. The one I purchased didn't last 3 weeks, and toothpicks could not fix the bent charging bar in the USB port. I handle electronic devices with the care they demand. If the Galaxy s4 were an automobile, they would have all been recalled.
