Time Capsule of the 60's, never boring or half-hearted but one needs to get past the fact the book wasn't proof read.
I feel that this book is a tome of two halves: the first half has a few spelling/gramatical errors, the second half is terrible! It is as though the end of the book was written in a rush, to get it into print as fast as possible, probably to meet a deadline, I guess. Anyway, it became really irritating, dealing with the sloppy presentation. Just goes to show - read & re-read what you write, especially if a proof reader isn't being employed! The actual content of the book was compelling, fantastic insight into the 60's. That side of things was of great enjoyment to me, I couldn't put it down! If you read this book, you must read 'Hurdy Gurdy Man' by Donovan Leich too. Gyp was a fantastic artist, as well as a good story teller.
