4 adapters in 4 years
I am going into my fourth year with my Alienware laptop, and I am about to order my fourth AC adapter. The insulation keeps tearing close to the blue light where the adapter plugs into the computer, exposing the wires within. I have tried electrical tape, but this is a natural bending spot in the cable, so it is destined for failure.

Best Pepper Mill Ever!
Having tried numerous pepper grinders, this is the best I have found. I have had mine for about 10 years, and I have bought the same product for three different friends over the years. It is easy to load, adjust the coarseness, and change batteries. With a smooth finish, it is also very easy to wipe down and keep clean. The one-handed operation is very nice when working in the kitchen, especially when the other hand is touching raw meat. I have two of these mills, one for pepper and one for grinding salt. It was not made for salt, so even the smallest grind is a little too large, and it comes out very quickly. Even so, it is better than other salt grinders I have tried. The pepper mill is great in the kitchen or at the dining table. The salt one I use in the kitchen, but I would not put that at the table. You can spend far more on a pepper mill, but you will not find a better product.

Easily the best fishing gadget I own
There are hundreds of gadgets marketed to fly fishers, many of which are just useless pieces of junk. The Monomaster is a very useful tool, and it is by far my favorite gadget. I usually fish with a lanyard, which accommodates just six tools/gadgets. While I may rotate some tools from time to time, the Monomaster is always included. I bought my first one about 7 years ago, and I have since bought several more as gifts for my fishing friends. Fishing line is horribly destructive to the environment, and we all share the responsibility to clean up after ourselves. Each time I wind some scrap fishing line into the Monomaster, I feel good that I am doing my share. When I am fishing a stream, I often find somebody else's fishing line wrapped up in a tree or shrub. Thanks to the Monomaster, I just grab a piece of that line, wind it up, and take it home with me for proper disposal. If I did not have this gadget, I would probably not bother to grab a bird's nest of fishing line from a tree and stuff it into my pocket. As I read my own review, it sounds like I probably work for the manufacturer, but that is not the case. This simple little plastic tube is truly a gem, and I cannot say enough about it. One little tip: If you just stick the straight end of a fishing line into the Monomaster, it will probably not be able to grab the line. It is best to make a small loop at the end you are inserting, and then you can easily wind it into the Monomaster.
