Purchase only when its heavily discounted.
For the price I found the quality fairly good but the ease of use not so much.
Pro's are
- Solid feel, and smooth even with force feedback on.
- Enough buttons for most in game needs,
Con's
-Logitech software is a bit hit and miss. While adjusting the force feedback and total degrees of turning for the wheel, it would not carry over to the wheel at all and stayed at default of 900 deg and full force feedback which made the steering wheel very hard to turn when solidly mounted to a wood table. If you have a light surface to mount on, it may be impossible to use if you encounter the same issue.
- The price for what you get is very high, I got it at a fairly big discount over normal and it was barely worth what I got. The fact you have the purchase the gear stick separate at this price level is also not good. This is more of a Logitech issue than the seller.
-The brake pedal is very hard to use. There is a rubber piece at the back that is intended to simulate the feel of a real brake pedal however the sensors only start to pickup the pedal movement when it is at the rubber, which is about half of the full range of motion of the pedal. Once you hit the rubber it gets very hard to push very quick and I was finding even putting my whole weight on the pedal and pushing very hard it was not applying the full brakes in games. It was as if the brake pedal needed re-calibrating but there was no way to do it with the Logitech software.
