It was all downhill after this.
At the risk of annoying Queen fans the world over, it really never was this good again. I first discovered this neglected gem at the age of 14 when I heard 'Keep Yourself Alive' on Alan 'Fluff' Freeman's Saturday afternoon radio show. From this song right through to the instrumental embryo of 'Seven Seas Of Rye', it's a melodic pomp rock teat. Highly recommended.
