fine: simple, accurate, easy-to-use
A very simple device, no bells or whistles - does the job. It's a time saver compared with the hassle of dealing with normal levels. I've had it for only a couple of weeks so I can't comment on longevity: wear-and-tear, long-term accuracy, how it takes the abuses that any tool is subject to. Right now I'm happy to have it. The beam has some thickness to it - that's the nature of the beast - but it's easy to deal with. I got it to get a precise height measurement for the height of a stairway I'm about to start building, a difficult measurement to get with a regular level when the stair's first step is located a fair distance from its last, especially when you know that both floors are out of level. With the laser I could get the measurement in a short minute or two.
I awarded 3 stars only because the forth star signifies that the product is "better than expected"; it is exactly what I expected.
