Works exactly as expected

I bought this seal to replace one that became too moldy. The unit was a 10 year old whirlpool alpha that has plenty of life left in it. Using the videos found on YouTube, I replaced the seal in about an hour. I could do it much faster if I had to do it again. One thing to note - if your washer has a light, you will need to cut out the opening for it. Just look at your old seal, as compared to the new one, and you’ll see what I mean. About 3 minutes with a sharp knife, and it was ready to go.

Did not work well on XD 9

I attempted to replace sights on my XD 9 using this tool. The sights were very difficult to push out, especially the front, causing the frame of the tool to distort before they were completely removed. I ended up using a brass punch to drift the sights back in to place. As a matter of fact, that was the method I used to remove and replace the sights on two other firearms (HK P2000 and Glock 30). The punch/hammer method was 5x faster than this tool. I did need a vice, and a couple of wooden blocks to prevent marking the slides, but that method was much faster. This may be a function of the XD sights being very difficult to remove, which in that case, I would ask that this tool not be listed as for use with those firearms. I'm glad that I tried to use this tool, but I will never use it again. It will sit in my firearms tool kit until I feel ok about throwing it away.
