Kinda Sorta Funny

This is a midpoint in Patton's material from the phenomenal, gut-bustingly funny bits on "Feelin' Kinda Patton" and the lackluster, barely chuckle-worthy jokes on "My Weakness Is Strong." The sad thing about this CD and the later one is that his style is still strong and unique, however he chooses to talk about less funny things with weaker punchlines. He himself foreshadowed his downfall when he talked about being in love and how that ruins comedians, and it has definitely proven true with him. This album has some really good material, but it isn't a CD I want to listen to multiple times like "Feelin," so I wouldn't recommend buying it. If you have to get it, the DVD is not worth the extra money, it's just a ho-hum performance of most of the material on the CD before it was fully developed, so I would suggest buying the album on iTunes.

Astonishing

This movie is the first in a long time that actually surprised me at the end. This is a horror film on a psychological level that is unparalleled by any other film I've seen. You won't jump out of your seat frightened, but you will be appalled by the depths of cruelty that the main character Chad will go to. This is not a feel-good movie and there's no middle ground -- you will either love it or hate it. I for one loved it, but then maybe there's something wrong with me. Five stars for originality and for Aaron Eckhart's amazing performance.
