The Bose 901 is critically, one of the best received speakers in the last 40 years, but get a fair amount of criticism from audiophiles who don't understand it or understand why BOSE designed the speakers that way. Every design feature on the BOS0 901 has an acoustic purpose, but few will seek this reason out. Instead, academia and purists have attempted to destroy one of the longest-manufactured speaker systems ever produced. Many of their own audiophile magazines pay regular homage to the 901's, even today. Inevitably, anyone who listens to the 901's, configured properly, as simply blown away by the 901 "wall of sound". The 901 is in a class or league of its own.
