Works as promised
1 of 1 found this helpful No Problems whatsoever, and the printer has not (yet) complained that I am not using HP made cartridges.
Cannot comment at this stage on life or colour fastness, fadeing or anything of that sort. Time will tell.

Useful if it performs as expected.
These are my first thoughts, I have yet to put the panel and pump into service as I am awaiting other components for the project.Solar panel is as expected. Short lead, 160mm ending in a plug I am not familiar with. This may make fitting the switch I wish to use slightly more difficult during lockdown as I can't simply go to a shop and ask for 'something that will fit this please'. The lead to the tiny pump is a decent length though, more than 4 m. Given the advertised use as a pond pump this is fine.
Only drawback so far is that the back of the panel is not flat, there is sealed junction box projecting 15mm beyond the frame, so it cannot be fixed to a flat surface with ease. Keyhole slots are provided for fixing, not ideal, I would have preferred corner holes in the frame.
I will revise my review when I have had a chance to assess the unit's performance.

Use over the counter cells
I bought this to replace a custom battery pack, not cheap, not available locally, and needs to be replaced annually on a gas fire.
Seems well made, the connector fits, the fire works. No idea yet what the battery life will be. As well as the bespoke connector there is a classic one as found on a pp9 battery. Maybe one should use this, though with an adequate length lead as I have there is no need to disconnect when replacing the cells.
The heat shield is open, in my situation the pack has to be lowered into a void below the fire, so the shield falls off. An improvement would be to give this important item a full covering potential, and a clip of some sort to hold it In place. However an elastic band should do the job.
