What the fu*k is wrong with you? The shoes you sold me arrived sticky and covered in some disgusting, unknown substances. This isn’t “gently worn” this is filthy and unfit for anyone to touch, let alone wear.
I didn’t even bother with contacting you, I threw them straight in the trash. You should be ashamed for listing this garbage. Selling items in that condition is beyond disrespectful.
Don’t bother responding unless it’s to offer a full refund.

I just found this comment. I have no idea how the heel ended up with that hair stuff on it, since it certainly wasn't there when I photographed it or packed it. I stand by my "gently worn" comment. But if you would have contacted me, I would have gladly refunded the money. I am still willing to refund your $24.99 but I can't do it through ebay anymore. If you want to send me a venmo link, I can do it that way.

A Gentleman in Moscow by Amor Towles (2016, Hardcover)

A 21st century Dostoevsky
This is a very engrossing novel about the first half of the 20th century in Russia. It centers around the main character living out his life at the Hotel Metropol, which I think still exists. The style of writing is remarkably reminiscent of Dostoevsky's with the attention to detail and flourishes. I'd be hard pressed to say how it ends, with its twists and turns that keep the reader moving quickly along with the story. I look forward to reading it on my lunch break every day and will be sorry when it ends.
