Good camera, but only for beginners
1 of 2 found this helpful The 326 page downloaded manual has plenty of information about how the camera works.
However, none of the reviews mentioned that the hot shoe does NOT have the center conductor. That makes this model incompatible with any other flash units or triggers. If you plan on only using the built-in flash, then you'll be fine. I was hoping to use this camera in a studio environment using other flashes and triggers. All the work-arounds are pricey. Since there isn't a simple adapter (or fix), I am having to return it for a different model.

Great view. But beware.
We like the view that this gives us, compared to our old peep-hole viewer. It's able to do this partly due to a larger opening. Be aware that this viewer requires a 5/8" drilled hole. The color is more of a gold/bronze tone (which happens to match our door, better).

Nice hood to keep on all of the time.
I purchased this as an alternative to buying a lens protector. It serves the purpose of preventing my lens from bumping into things and it helps with some sun glare. I like how it screws on like a filter. That way it remains on all the time.
