Big Lens, Big Performance
1 of 3 found this helpful Great big lens for those great big photos. I had owned the previous version (200-500mm) but it didn't have VC. This lens with VC is very good. I have even gotten some 95mm special filters for it.

Super Telephoto is Great Advance for Tamron
2 of 3 found this helpful Great lens for many purposes. The new image stabilization provided by the G2 is very good. Some of the other changes were expected but the lens focal length braking system was not. It is a true innovation for a lens of such a broad range of lengths and physical size to be able to fix the focal length.
Bluebird image was shot handheld at 50'+. Minor post-processing performed.
