Seals are worse than anything before
2 of 2 found this helpful Unpacked it, filled it with some fence paint (sprayer compatible ). Tried to pressurise the thing, got covered in paint. Checked everything, retightened. Tried again with the same result.
In the end I resorted to wrapping everything in plumbers tape and tried again. Ok, though not prefect as I have to pressurise every minute or so
I guess you get what you pay for! Stay clear unless you like wearing fence paint

Hour glass?
The quality of the components is very good and it goes together very nicely. No need to have printed / on line instructions as the parts are easily recognisable on the circuit board. Just remember the + & - legs.
Once built and turned on the 'hour glass' takes 37 seconds to empty. If you change the speed using the S2 button then it takes less than 5 seconds.
I know it's not sold as a serious timer and is just for decoration. But come on it's easy enough to code that you can at least make it a sensible timer i.e. 30 seconds, 60 seconds etc

Extremely easy, or so you'd think!
With only 20 or solders to do you'd think it would be easy, and normally I would say that is. However the kit I got had a damaged photo resistor and the LED's had been used before. I could tell as all the legs were level which made detecting the + leg fun to do.
Once completed I got down to soldering and had it finished in 10 minutes.
Score
Easy to build 8/10.
No instructions would make it difficult for some.
Quality: 6/10
Used LEDs and a broken resistor made it more time consuming than it should've been
Price £ Delivery 9/10
The price is reasonable, as is the postage! It was well wrapped in packing foam and then into a plastic delivery back.
For the amount of time it would've normally taken the price is very good especially if you spend a little time making sure tag you solder it neatly.
Would I do another one?
Yes, the light is nice and would look good on a desk etc so an ideal pressie
