Delivers exactly as promised: The best value mono laser out there.
1 of 1 found this helpful What can I say, this printer is everything I hoped it would be. The product description does not lie on any count. I use this with multiple machines on my small home network: Ubuntu 10.04.3LTS, Windows 7, Windows XP. On all operating systems installation was a breeze and all features are working perfectly. Print speed, quality and toner life are all as you would hope for. The only niggles I have are that the build quality is lighter than the Brother HL 1430 this replaces and that the paper rollers sometimes leave indentations on the page. Also, the manual feed slot won't take most A4 envelopes (which are slightly larger than A4 anyway). All in all though, a fast, capable, no fuss network laser printer with duplex at an excellent price. Don't be tempted by other cheap lasers: Go Brother!
** If you want a colour laser, I also have a Brother HL3040DN and it is an awesome piece of kit. Excellent build quality. I recommend upgrading the RAM though, as out of the box it can't spool full A4 images at highest quality. D'oh. Should take all of 60 seconds to upgrade and cost you about a fiver. Well worth doing. :)
Hope this helps someone decide on their purchase.

ASUS - flawless once again
Not much to say: typical Asus build quality. Product is proving to be reliable and very capable. Almost as good as the much more expensive P5Q PRO. In fact, had I known the P5B-E Plus was this good I wouldn't have bought the P5Q PRO for my workstation.
I'm using this board for a fileserver/torrent client/packet filtering router. Works brilliantly with Slackware 13. I have 7 SATA drives hanging off of it and no problems whatsoever. An amazing product once again from the guys at Asus. Well worth taking a serious look at this board. Like its bigger brother, it hasn't skipped a beat.
Specs: Intel Core 2 Duo 1.86GHz, GeIL 512MB x 2 (DDR 2 533MHz), onboard gigabit eth0, 2 x RTL8139C in PCI slots, eth1, eth2.
