A neat item for what you are paying
A neat item for what you are paying. I bought it as a PSU to use at a second table for small electronics work. As well as the 0-15V variable, with coarse and fine controls, it has fixed voltage outputs of 1.5V, 4.8V, 9V. The internal circuitry is probably not very sophisticated, as the 2N3055 (npn power transistor), fixed to the aluminium sheet on the back, gets pretty toasty! It is just a 2mm Al sheet - no cooling fins.

Works well as a direct replacement
Seems that, after a time, the buttons on these remotes seem to become unreliable. This worked well as a direct replacement. I was easily able to find the code to enable it with my Sony TV in the manual I had, and I am sure you can find these on the internet

Good for loafing round the house
Good weight fleece material and warm. Good for loafing round the house!
