About
I'm into owls, sci-fi, football (Go Chiefs!), lotsa stuff! Spent 2½ decades as a semi-trailer mechanic, 'til I was disabled. Then, mid-pandemic, my one love abandoned me – no warning, or therapy, or 2nd chances, just left. He filed for divorce the day after our 39th anniversary, then I was alone & broken for the 1st time ever. I can tell you to the day how long ago that was. I mated for life, but he ... didn't. So now I'm crying & flying solo.

Doctor Who: A Brief History of Time Lords by Steve Tribe: New

Darling little book!
This is such a cute book for any Doctor Who fan! Let your mind slip into the Whoniverse, and enjoy the Doctor's explanation of the history of the Timelords. I really enjoyed it, and I hope anyone reading this will enjoy it as much as I did! It was such a cool look into the backstory of the show - you would have to watch every single show and remember every hint ever given on any episode to know all of this, and yet here it all is, laid out for you to enjoy.
Well done, Steve Tribe! And very cool illustrations and images, too! Many straight from the episodes, but some drawn with such perfection, you might think they were photos, too. 😊 Richard Shaun Williams is the illustrator. He should get a lot of thanks and commendation for his work on this book, because it's full of the jaw-dropping beauty of his creations. 😍🤩
I didn't mean for this to be so long, but I just enjoyed it so much. All I can say is this: If you get a chance to get this book, get it!

Best little flashlight I've owned
This model can take a beating, is water, dust, and crud resistant, and the two brightness settings are great. The bright setting os perfect for candling eggs (even Marans or Aracauna), and the lower setting is as bright as one needs for walking in that the evening in nearly any situation. I'd wager the bright setting could blind anyone who would approach you with unkind intentions, as well!
I've had mine for over 2 years, and it's been dropped, rained on, and been in nearly everyday use the whole time. It's definitely got staying power! It will also use every bit of available battery power, not just slowly dim down as the batteries fade. That's why one should always have a spare set of batteries, though, as it won't warn you. Just one minute it's on, bright as ever, and the next, it's off. The ONLY drawback would have to be that. I can think of only praise, otherwise!
I logged in today to create a search to watch for good deals on one or more of these flashlights, saw the place to leave a review, and stopped to recommend it to anyone.

Such FUN!
This is SUCH a darling book, from one end to the other! Imagine one of the Doctors with a fantastic sense of humor getting hold of a book and deciding, using post it notes and even full sheets of notebook paper, to "edit" the book to make it more correct, according to the Whoniverse! It's hilarious!
The book is made to look like a library book from Coal Hill's school library - yes, THAT Coal Hill! It even has a spot for the slip to checkout the book with! And doodles & taped on notes & handwritten notes in the margins make it look like (if you could just let your imagination go for a teeny bit) it really IS a library book checked out and then ... edited ... by the Doctor!
By the notes left as you read through the book, you soon discover all of this has been done by the 12th Doctor [the one that looks like the saved man from Pompeii, and (wink, wink) looks amazingly like the actor Peter Capaldi! *giggles*] while he spent time as caretaker at the Coal Hill school. And aren't we glad he did? (I know I am!)
If you get the chance to get this book, get it! I dont think you'll be disappointed. 😊
