Great kit from the NZ experts
Atmospheric box art contains the usual highly detailed model of the "Buff" or "Brisfit" that caused many German fighter pilots to re-assess tactics for attacking this fast, well-armed and nimble 2 seat fighter. The Wingnut Wings team in New Zealand have presented here a great model of a famous WW1 British fighter.

Another absorbing novel by Robert Ryan
Having read a few of Robert Ryan's novels centred around less weel-known areas of WW2, I picked up the first of his books where Sherlock Holmes' sidekick, Dr Watson, is the central character during the early days of WW1. This vividly portrayed the horror of earlyt rench warfare in the Low Countries, with mysterious murders committed amonggst the carnage. This second Dr Watson adventure follows the good doctor's adventures and involvement in solving further mysteries back in England as the War Department tries to conceal disaster during the development of the ultimate weapon deep in the Suffolk countryside. I'm only about a third of the way into the novel, but already find it equally absorbing as the first novel, with credible characters drawn from actual history as well as characters created by the author. A great read!

Fantastic fine brass tubing
With modelling shops a bit like hens' teeth locally, it's good to get the supplies of these fine tubes for detail modelling.Great!
