Great barrel upgrade to stock 1377 for increased accuracy while keeping the gun at a manageable length
I was looking for a longer barrel for my Crossman1377. I was going to opt for the 18 inch barrel, but it just seemed too long. The pistol is longer than most, but it starts to look weird with a long barrel in my opinion. I had to clean the barrel like all barrels so no big deal there. It looked good and free of defects with a good crown as well. After installing it, I ran about 100 pellets through it to get it broken in. I will run more when I have more time. However, after about 40 pellets, the barrel started to stabilize and I was getting dime groups at 15 yards. I must admit that the stock 10 inch barrel works fine up close but getting to 15 yards with the copy I had was challenging. It could just be the barrel I had because I have seen the stock barrel perform well. I had random results with all kinds of pellets. This new barrel likes the JSB Exact Diabolo pellets. It also does fine with the Crossman pointed and hollow points. I would recommend the barrel to anyone looking to stabilize pellets at a little farther out than 10 yards. It is still short enough for easy transport as well. So you have the full details. I also have the Crossman long steel breech on the gun as well. The breech in combo with the barrel have given me great results. My only gripe is the price. It is a little high, but I did get a decent product so I will not complain.
