Lovely Book & illustrations but old fashioned
I bought this book for my 16momth old daughter on other Mums recommendations on an Internet forum as its a classic great book for a baby, or so I was lead to believe.
Problem for me was firstly that it is paper, so my daughter sadly tore pages within minutes and secondly, it's old fashioned. The text rhyme uses old fashioned ideas and illustrations. I'm not a modernist and love old fashioned things, but it will be hard to explain some things to her when she asks! she did like the whole Peepo peep through to the next page idea though and the whole repetitive rhyming is lovely.
