Tractive 2 - Useless

The basic function of this device is to track the location of your pet. It does this with relative accuracy in the open as long as it's flat, there are zero trees and zero clouds. I say relative accuracy as my phone location and my pet location differ by about 10m (which I believe is normal). However, once its cloudy or there are some bushes then the GPS location tracking of the device drops out. Your accurate location still shows on the screen as it uses your phones GPS/Network but the device doesn't as it is too weak. There is an option to set up a customised geofence to alert you once your pet crosses the imaginary line. Again this function is relatively poor as I am usually a long way into our walk before I get the notification that we've left the boundary. There are also functions to trigger a light or buzzer on the tracker to aide you in locating your pet. The light is duller than the led which tells you if the device has a signal, so completely useless. And having just tested the buzzer sound, I had to be within about 3m to hear it. All in all I expected something to help me worry a little less once my dog is off wandering around the nature reserve that we walk. All I got was an expensive piece of plastic that will most likely pop off its holder the first time he goes through a thorn bush.
