I lapped the stone with an Atoma as soon as I got it, and sharpened my razor with it. Then I went to the Naniwa 12k stone.
Very good results when used for sharpening razor. Finished with 12k Naniwa and 20000k Suehiro.

Great pen for not a lot of money. A gold nib would be nice, but would cost more money!

I prefer my Sailor Professional Gear with the gold Naginata Togi nib, but it cost a lot more money and it is necessary to fill it more often. I got the Pilot pen after a friend gave me a cheap $29 pen which I was just using around the house. It wrote fairly well but the cartridges were a bust. The Pilot 823 is now my go to pen for all writing purposes at home. I use the Sailor for writing Devanagri script and special things.
