Quintessential Film Noir

Everyone should see this classic at least once. The Criterion issue is really well done. And thankfully has English subtitles for us old folks who remember when the movie first came out.

Good looking, need breaking in.

Downsides: 1) LOVED the color shown in ad; however, in person it was more brown & less green. 2) Could hardly get foot in this zipperless boot - took 15 minutes with a shoehorn. Upsides: Good quality appearance. They do soften up. (I now recommend this tip for Frye boots.) Put on a pair of thick, heavy winter socks. With a shoehorn, somehow cram your foot into the boot. Wet your foot, boot and all, under tub hot water faucet. Walk around half a day They loosen up easily and water does not seem to hurt the leather. I bought half a size down ( 8 instead of 8.5), otherwise toe would have been too long. Still need boot jack to remove
