The Early Years British Rail
AS a historian and modelmaker , I use DVDs as part of my referencing. Many Rail DVDs are little mre than footage of preserved lines, which are good to look at but lack the feel of what I still think consider to be the real thing.
The footage on this is fantastic. Pro films from recognised sources, clear and concise with good sound tracks throughout. A small amount of current stock but generaly massed with quality archive material and mostly in good 1950/60s natural colour.
This whole experience has ben enhanced by the first rate services of the seller. Ten out of ten with comunications, service and costs.
Will definately use again and recommend.

Decade of Steam 1950
2 of 2 found this helpful Being a child of the 1940/50 period and growing up with the smell of steam in the nostrils, I had been looking for a sensibly priced "real Steam" compilations which truly reflected that period. So many DVDs on sale today are little more than films of preserved railways, which are indeed wonderful places! However they cannot replace that spell binding foggy smoggy misty day feeling of a Steam age platform graced by the vast varations in rolling stock of which we once enjoyed. These DVDs reflect just that, they show the whole railway system, the early colour is superb and the black & white is so atmospheric, it lives. More to the point the price is superb, and the vendor enhances the whole shopping experience with a first class turnaround.
Highly recomended on all counts.
