Creepy Atmospheric Minimalism
0 of 1 found this helpful The music alone is excellent, exactly what you would expect from a score composed by John Carpenter, creepy atmospheric minimalism. My reason for the "good" rating is that the recording includes too much dialogue and other sounds from the movie.
Sometimes over the music! Hello producers, we soundtrack listeners purchase the musical score for the movie because we want to hear the MUSIC. In the case of a
movie with great dialogue ("Casablanca", for example) that is acceptable, but not this film. If I want the film experience, I'll watch it. Some of it is alright, such as the children's voices regarding the Boogie Man and Trick or Treat. The one great track where the sounds of the terrorized woman accompanies the music (reminiscent of something you'd expect from Ennio Morricone) is awesome.
A very good score from John Carpenter. Highly Rrecommended.

Who Love's Ya Baby
I do. The Kojak television series about the case by case work of New York City homocide police detective Theo Kojak is great television. The first season of the series was filmed on location in New York City and that is one of the things that makes these programs great. The characters are interesting, diverse and believable, in particular, the bald, Greek, lollipop-sucking tough guy, Kojak. The quality of the film technique is another. Much of the cinematography is superior to what you'd expect of television serials. The look, sound and acting make this series worth viewing and timeless. The stories are alright, but not great. More attention could have been paid to plot, but this may be a result of the limitations of television. The pop culture of the 1970's is on full display
throughout these programs adding another dimension of interest to the shows for
me, although some might find it off-putting, especially those too young to have experienced it. These 22 episodes of the Kojak television series are great entertainment. Highly recommended.
