The eighth wonder of action figures
1 of 1 found this helpful Although the Mezco Kong of Skull Island is a little pricey, it's a great figure for fans of NECA and Monsterarts ilk. This solidly built figure has all the essential joints for articulation, although some do need heating or working when first of the box. Detailing is terrific, capturing a stylized, but unmistakable likeness of Kong. The figure stands about 7 inches, so it's a bit for scale, but flexible collectors can make do. The box is nicely designed, a few accessories are included, and overall this might be the best Kong toy for its price on the market today. Be sure to grab one for yourself!

Fine Featherweight Figure
The Favorite co. Archaeopteryx has splendid details in sculpt and paint, capturing the essence of a creature that was once alive and kicking (or, running, in this case). Regrettably, the figure isn't totally balanced and stable on its base, but that might not be a common issue. Anyone looking for a largely up-to-date rendition of the "first bird" should definitely consider purchasing this.

An X-Plus figure you can afford!
X-Plus released this figure of the Legion soldier (from the film 'Gamera 2: Advent of Legion') back before they charged an arm & a leg for their massive statues. The soldier is surprisingly soft, but detail in both the sculpt and the paint is very nice. The forelegs splay a little awkwardly, so posing the figure needs precision; but it's a very nice figure/toy that displays well alongside other kaiju vinyls.
