Very cute and interesting
This is a very nice detailed birdhouse for the cost. However, I felt I needed to apply copious amounts of clear polyurethane to it to make it suitable for outdoors. For an indoors decoration it is great. For an actual outdoors birdhouse, it probably needs some added protection from rain, etc., and then will also be great. Keeping it low and within reach makes its details more discernible.... and easier to remove indoors with bad weather approaching.

Lacking one important feature
1 of 1 found this helpful It's probably my fault for not checking this out more closely before buying. I never imagined that a cassette player would be designed with no rewind feature. You have to take the cassette out, turn it over, and use the FF feature to actually rewind. Then you have to take the tape back out again and put it in its original orientation. This is maddening when you are listening to language tapes and need to go back over something. Also, the tape has to be very carefully placed or the door will not close properly- it took a few tries to learn how to do this properly. Overall, this is a badly designed and very inconvenient unit and I wish I hadn't bought it.
