son house and bukka white-masters of country blues
There are many things about this DVD, such as the quality of the original film ie black and white, that you could bemoan. However the viewer will have the sense to see past such trivial matters, and let the full force of the performers take over. Its powerful stuff this, I have already seen clips on you tube...but this stuff needs you to concentrate. You need to sit back in undistracted comfort. Because it is like a hurricane when Son House comes at you in full force! His performance is brilliant. Surprisingly when he speaks he is a quiet man, full of humility. And then he sings, wow...Its a must. Bukka White then gives the same, a breathtakingly powerful performance...he sings like a man who has seen deep troubles, and he's here to tell you about it so you won't make the same mistakes he did. You won't ever regret buying this DVD. Its the definitive country blues.

Chaucer's Language, Horobin, Professor Simon Paperback Book The Cheap Fast Free

easy to read very informative
Really like this book, a great insight into how Chaucer uses language to construct. If you like Canterbury Tales you'll like this. Stay away from the OED and use this instead, even though it is in no way a dictionary, it is more detailed, as in why he used certain words, and how readers understood them.
