Tamiya Shinano 1/700 scale model aircraft carrier.
Can't fault this. I am a really big fan of this scale. All the little details really brings the kit to life. Definitely pleased with it. Good for people who like warships in general or Japanese warships in particular.
Downsides? Tamiya paints don't give very good coverage and, generally, there is no direct conversions to other paint brands. The small scale means that it is quite difficult to assemble and the parts can be quite fragile or can be lost easily. Patience is required and recommended. Would not recommend for first time modellers.
Nice box art and clear instructions. Parts well presented in clear plastic bags. Box is packed well with little room for movement giving good protection to the various pieces of the kit.
Some may be disappointed that no full hull option is available but, to my mind that is not a problem. As to the unanswered question about is it durable? I would say that it is if you don't treat it a toy.

HMS Hermes.
British naval vessels are, I think, under represented in this scale. It is good to see a different ship other than the usual Hood's, Belfast's and Ark Royal's.
The kit is very nicely designed and the detail is very good. Many of the more fragile parts are well protected. A great addition to a small scale fleet.

Beautiful Beaufighter.
I have been collecting kits of British nightfighters and this was missing from the set.
Pleased to see that it was available and am looking at getting another one. Box is well packed and no damage was found to the sprues. Liking the canopy masks that are included.
Downside is that there is no aircrew included and the decals are lacking any stencil data. Minor problems to be honest. Detail is excellent and would definitely have another one. I am very happy to have this in my collection.
Looking forward to putting it together.
