Your First Quilt Book
2 of 2 found this helpful A very easy to read and follow instruction for someone who wants to learn to quilt. I am a tailor, not a quilter, but was asked to teach someone to quilt and I picked this book up in the library. Then I decided to buy it and use it as the book to teach from. The book has black and white drawings in it as illustrations. If it had pictures I would have given an excellent rating.

Using it for a weed eater
It doesn't seem to last very long, but it works! Perhaps I need a stronger battery, but actually, I don't last that long myself, holding up the weed eater, but I'll try a stronger battery with my next purchase.

Very repetitive
All Anitagoodesign products are pleasant to work with, but they are not flawless. I use the 10x 6 hoop on a Brother machine, and so far one block doesn't want to load, it claims to be too large of a design.
The project itself is a bit boring, repetitive, but I'm going for the end result. The person I'm making this quilt for is into science and sewing, and just created her first sewing room.
Each block at the smallest size is 5", so at 11 x 9 blocks, the quilt became a lot larger than I had imagined! You have to have a good steady hand to be able to cut out the inside fabric of the letter appliques, like A or B, and in the small block the letter S is nearly impossible.
