THE Kick Drum Mic
This is absolutely the "secret sauce" kick drum mic for rock, metal, and modern music in general. Simple to use, just sounds great!

Boxy but good
Pros: Has a solid clean boost range, can easily get you loud enough for that solo. The switchable Markbass filters (the Vintage Loudspeaker Emulator and the Variable Preshape Filter) are two exceptionally powerful EQ-type controls that can make or break your sound. It doubles as a DI box which is very helpful for those of us who like to put this at the end of their pedalboard and just go direct. It also looks like a racecar.
Cons: There's no possible way Markbass filled all the space inside this pedal with circuitry. Definitely a little on the large size for what it does; it'll take up a fair share of your board. But to me, that's not worth knocking a single solitary star off of the rating of this fantastic freaking pedal. You can LITTERALLY just take this pedal to a gig in a pinch and be just fine.
