This product derives from the medical treatment of ulcers and maintains an optimal environment for wound healing.Leave it in place as long as possible,usually I do so for a week or so.If you have slice a flap of skin apply cold water from tap,dry wound(it will still be bleeding).Put skin flap back in place and apply dressing.Do not remove it too soon or you will disrupt the healing
