450d a camera for the enthusiast

I've upgraded from the Canon 400d and although similar the 450d is just different enough to make it a better option. The live view is useful and the larger screen is a bonus. The reason I chose the 450d as opposed to other canon models is that I wanted just a camera no video, I have taken jpeg and raw with this camera and editing in photoshop cs5 is easy and rewarding. All in all I'm very happy with the 450d.

Just one stop down from a DSLR

This is the all singing all dancing compact, it has so many functions it's almost impossible to take a bad photograph, emphasis on the almost as there's always someone clever enough to prove you wrong. I bought this for the wife as she had outgrown the old compact she had and was taking far more complex photo's and the camera couldn't keep up with her growing skills. She now has a camera that can not only give nearly as much scope as a DSLR, but is easy to programme and use and takes fantastic images, great colour and AV although maxes out at F8 it leaves plenty of room for the above average photo. All in all a great camera well worth the price.
