    Disc is damaged on the inner plastic rin...
    Disc is damaged on the inner plastic ring, which makes it harder for the console to read. I bought a refurbished PS2 from Amazon and it still crashes consistently. The disc had cracks on the innermost layer, so it would constantly crash the game and damage itself further every time you put it in the tray.
