A good "idea" book, both for techniqes and projects.
For me this was a good "idea" book, both for techniques and things to make. It's a wee bit dated so some of the articles didn't have any appeal, but I found that others can be updated and modified to suit my needs. Overall I can unequivocally state that it was worth the money that I spent on it, and I got some good project ideas from it.

Old Time Favorite Recipes
I bought this book just for the recipes; however, much to my pleasant surprise there is an excellent short course on making sausage too lots of great hints. So far we have tried 3 of the recipes: breakfast sausage, maple sausage & andouille. All 3 are right on the money - sausage just like my grandparents used to make!!! DELICIOUS! I AM CHOMPING AT THE BIT TO MAKE SOME OF THE OTHER RECIPES :-) Am I happy with this book? YES! Do I recommend this book? YES!

A "MUST HAVE" Book for Green Wood Turners
This is a "must have" book, IMO, for turners who use or want to use green wood. The author does an excellent job covering just about everything from A to Z, soup to nuts. He walks the reader through the steps from the felling a tree, the selection of portions of wood for blanks to the various ways of turning the blanks and finishing up the turning. The illustrations are well done so that even my 10 year old grandson can read and follow them - but then I have to admit that he's a wee bit above average ;-) Hats off to an excellent author.
