For a cheap, useable machine, it does the job.
I was looking for some kind of recorder for my son to use at school, and the digitals are all too pricy for something he may or not find useful. This has the advantage of taking full size cassettes. It actually makes very clear recordings, though the speaker (I bought a used machine, so I don't know if this is inherent or just age) have a lot of static. This model takes earphones/earbuds and the sound through them is quite good. I recorded in my car while I sung to the radio, and it did as well as any portable recorder with built-in mic I've ever used except for a bit more machine noise due to the size and the motor and mic being so close.

Fabulous instruction manual
I've loved the geometric coloring books from Roger Burrows from my first sight of them. Coloring books where the user's creativity is paramount are a great idea, and the material in this manual shows you how you can make your own and provides everything you need to get started.
