Handy, Handy - Did I say Handy....?
You guessed it, this little device revived all my data after my computer went down. I was able to pop my SATA drive in and Voila....moved necessary data to the new computer. Then my wife's computer died.....the little device came to rescue her important data as well. The other beaty is I have 2 backup drives to offload and swap data at any time. A life saver...
Seagate Barracuda 7200.7 160 GB Internal 7200 RPM 3.5" (ST3160023A) Hard Drive

This Series is perfect for my needs with older multitrack machines.
This Series is circa 2005, and is just right for my application. I upgraded from 40GB to 160GB, which has compatible Firmware, expanded Buffer 2-8, 40-160GB, and runs very smoothly and quieter than the 40 so far. They are available, though most are Used, they still work very well.
VM Audio VAS18SUB 18" 2000 Watt Subs Passive Subwoofers + Speaker Mounting Poles

Practical subs that can be handled by one person and sound excellent - with proper break-in
I researched everyone's subs for sensitivity, frequency response, materials, warranty, etc. I'm a big JBL guy, but their subs were out of my price range and far too heavy. I was interested in size, weight and ability for 1 man to handle them easily, which requires balance engineering for an 18" sub. I took a leap of faith with VM, and never looked back. I filtered everything below 40Hz and began the slow, steady break-in...giving it a bit more and more after each hour of pumping. I've used them for 2 years now and still going strong. The conservative to major break-in, the more bass it achieves as the speaker loosen up. I filter out(HiPass) at 30Hz now, -3db at 40Hz and pumping well. JBL's on top of my VM's is the icing. Crossing overr at 100-120Hz does the trick. They do not reach well into the 200Hz + range, but that's not their job. 35-110Hz is the sweet spot, the JBL's do the rest. I don't abuse them, use my ears (and feel), and they keep doing their intended job..... Everyone has different expectations, I'm a happy camper. [(2) 1/4" and (2) Speakon(Standard) allowing total flexibility with connections and expansion options.
