This works surprisingly well
I am using this with a Cyrus 8 Qx DAC, and a Mac with OS X. I bought this because the Cyrus has a USB port with limitations. I use coax cable on the "high" port and it works perfectly fine with the Cyrus. No setup required on the Mac, but make sure u use playback software which changes the resolution automatically according to the file you are playing, or you will have to configure it manually in midi setup.
After installing the device I started listening and...couldn't stop. I went to bed a 5am because I couldn't get enough of re-discovering my high res library. Everything sounds better, more detailed, more transparent. Having the jet switch on is a must. A highly recommended device if you want to enhance USB playback from your computer, or if you don't have USB on your DAC.
