Superman & Lois: 80 Years Strong
I love Superman and I love the Fleischer/Paramount shorts from the 40s. This statue is a beautiful homage to both, a nod to the classic cartoons and the comic. (The base is a stack of Daily Planet newspapers with a headline about the mad scientist in the first cartoon.)
It's perfect by having Superman and Lois together as 2018 will mark the 80th anniversary of their comic book debut, and Lois Lane, Superman, and Clark Kent are the only aspects to be there from the beginning. Krypton was not named, nor were his parents. His foster parents were not introduced. The Daily Planet was not his original paper, and no other character or cast member was involved in the early episodes, just the "triangle for two." I love it!
