When it first came out, the cassette tape was truly a marvel. This small device used magnetic tape to record and play back sound, but its most impressive feature was its portability. It held up to 150 minutes of audio, and you could play it almost anywhere.

Recorders also allowed you to make your own mixed tapes or record sounds on the fly. For those feeling nostalgic, go ahead and search for your favourite songs on cassette.
