About Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace is a South London-based football team, founded in 1905 at the venue after which it is named. At the time, many locals attended the FA Cup Finals which were held locally at Crystal Palace Park's sports stadium, and the club was formed to give football fans who lived in the area a local team. Over the years, the club has won a number of honours, including victories in both the Full Members Cup and the London Challenge Cup. In the early years, the team colours were claret and blue. This was due to them asking Aston Villa - one of the major teams in the country at the time - for advice, and this help included the use of Villa's old strip. The club then saw a number of changes of team colours, before settling on red and blue in 1973 when Malcolm Allison arrived as manager. As a result, a huge number of different Crystal Palace shirts are available to fans and collectors, including both replica shirts and genuine shirts worn by Crystal Palace players. The club has also produced other items of clothing, including hats, t-shirts and more. Memorabilia signed by Crystal Palace is also popular, including shirts, programmes, tickets, photos and more. Tickets and ticket stubs from both recent games and the early years can all be purchased, along with commemorative DVDs of notable games. There is also a great deal of other Crystal Palace branded merchandise available to both fans and collectors, including footballs, mugs, keyrings, badges and more.
