About Desktop Computers Cheap

Before you buy, choose a spec that meets your requirements. Examples of these are gaming, office use and software development. Gaming PCs If you're looking for a gaming PC, you need a fast processor and a top end graphics card. PCs for gaming need a higher spec, and consequently they have a higher price tag. If you're a serious gamer, you'd be better off going for the top end models. There can't be anything more frustrating than having a drop out in the middle of the action. If you're on a limited budget, you'll have to look at refurbished Pcs. General home or office use You don't need anything elaborate for this. If you intend using Microsoft Office products, probably best to go for about 4 GB memory with 250 GB hard disk. You'll need more hard disk space if you are running a business, as you'll have more documents. You could probably get a decent new PC on a budget for these purposes. Choose your operating system carefully. You might find Windows XP on some budget PCs, but this is slow. If you're used to more recent versions of Windows, you'll soon get frustrated and end out having to buy a separate Windows DVD. Windows Eight is for people that are used to tablets and apps. Seasoned desktop users find it annoying. For general office use and standard Microsoft applications, Windows Seven is the best choice. Development PCs Developers use resource hungry applications, causing frustration when memory runs low. To run Visual Studio for instance, better go for about 6 GB Ram. But make sure you don't have a higher spec than your users, or your program will run slower for them. Consider refurbished or second hand if money is tight.
